Jess and Andrew wanted to think outside the box when it came to their 5226 Elm engagement session, so we tried lots of double exposures, colored cellophane and silly poses. When couples reach out to me wanting something unique, I know I’ve hit the jackpot.

Their location of choice was their wedding venue, 5226 Elm, and it was the perfect backdrop for their pictures. I love the lush and modern design of the building and its surrounding gardens. The possibilities were endless!

Also, if you’re wondering what the heck you should wear to your engagement session, Jess and Andrew make excellent role models! Jess’s orange Madewell dress is not only adorably flattering, but also picked up on the subtle orange details of the space. Her statement earrings added interest while not overwhelming her beautiful face. Andrew perfectly complemented Jess by keeping it stylish and classy in a neutral, but subtly-patterned shirt and sleek blue pants.
